TransPerfect Music City Bowl, Amazon Renew Partnership for National Anthem and  ‘God Bless America’ Contest 

Winners Will Sing Patriotic Songs at the Bowl Game This December

UPDATE- After an influx of dozens of submissions, the TransPerfect Music City Bowl's search for two vocalists to perform renditions of "The Star-Spangled Banner" and "God Bless America" at this year's bowl game has been extended by one week.

 

In partnership with Amazon for the Amazon Voice of the Bowl competition, aspiring and professional singers eager to showcase their talent during the 26th TransPerfect Music City Bowl on Dec. 30 at Nissan Stadium now have additional time to submit their auditions.

 

The extended deadline for submissions is now Thursday, Sept. 28 and applicants can submit their auditions to anthem@nashvillesports.com

 

Auditions for the national anthem should not exceed one minute and 30 seconds, while auditions for "God Bless America" should be no longer than a minute. Contestants are asked to include their name, age, email address and contact information along with their entry.

 

Five finalists for each song will be announced on Thursday, Sept. 28, and they will have the opportunity to perform live at the Amazon Voice of the Bowl grand finale event on Oct. 28, hosted at Ole Red on Broadway.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The TransPerfect Music City Bowl is in search of two exceptional vocalists to sing renditions of "The Star-Spangled Banner" and "God Bless America" at this year's game inside Nissan Stadium.

 

Marking the fourth edition of this captivating contest, the bowl has once again partnered with Amazon for the Amazon Voice of the Bowl competition. Aspiring and professional singers keen on performing these two iconic patriotic songs during the 26th installment of the TransPerfect Music City Bowl, set to take place on Dec. 30, 2023, at Nissan Stadium, can now submit video auditions for consideration.

Candidates can submit their acapella performances to anthem@nashvillesports.com throughout the next month. On Sept. 21, five finalists will be unveiled, and they will have the chance to perform live at the Amazon Voice of the Bowl grand finale event on Oct.28, held at Ole Red.

 

In recent years, the Amazon Voice of the Bowl competition has witnessed an array of remarkable performances. Last year’s national anthem winner, recording artist Sarah Hardwig, captivated the Nissan Stadium crowd with her remarkable performance and has established herself as a rising artist in local scene.

 

The champions of the national anthem category in 2020, Chapel Hart, even secured the "Golden Buzzer" accolade on America's Got Talent. The trio has created waves within the country music scene, collaborating with esteemed artists like Darius Rucker and garnering praise from country music luminaries, including Dolly Parton, on social media.
