Titans Cornerback Roger McCreary Returns as 2025 Music City Bowl's Youth Football Program Ambassador

Program provides local leagues with funding, equipment and over 150,000 mouthguards statewide, in partnership with Delta Dental

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Music City Bowl today announced the return of Youth Football Program Ambassador, Roger McCreary. The Tennessee Titans cornerback and 2018 bowl alumnus served in the role in 2024 and will continue his work by visiting local teams and promoting youth football across Tennessee. Since its founding in 2003, the program has supported more than 20 leagues across the region.

“We are honored to welcome back Music City Bowl Alum and Titans CB, Roger McCreary, to continue his inspirational work pouring into youth football players,” said Scott Ramsey, president and CEO of the Music City Bowl. “McCreary’s dedication to helping develop key physical and social skills aligns perfectly with the Youth Football Program’s work in the community, and we are thrilled to kick off another year together.”

McCreary was selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft with the 35th overall pick. A standout at Auburn University, McCreary earned first-team All-American honors in 2021 and was a Bednarik Award semifinalist that same year. His college career saw him become a key player in Auburn’s defense, including participation in the 2018 Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl, where Auburn secured a 63-14 win over Purdue. McCreary has been a mainstay in the Titans’ defensive backfield during his first three NFL campaigns, last season tying for the most tackles for loss among NFL defensive backs. In his first three seasons, McCreary played in 47 games with 35 starts while collecting a team-best 220 tackles. Known for always being around the ball, his aggressive style and work ethic make him a standout on and off the field.

“It’s a great honor to be named the Youth Football Ambassador for the Music City Bowl for the second straight year,” McCreary said. “Youth football played a crucial role in my makeup and taught me essential life lessons, including hard work, discipline and teamwork. I’m looking forward to interacting with these young athletes again and making an impact in their lives and the community.”

Through this initiative, local youth leagues will receive thousands of dollars in donations to support the purchase and repair of equipment, the provision of new uniforms, facility maintenance, the coverage of game official costs and the launch of new programs. In addition to financial support, each league receives an official Bowl helmet sticker, and championship-winning teams are awarded free tickets for every coach and player to attend the Music City Bowl. Every participant is also given a high-quality mouthguard, generously donated by Delta Dental of Tennessee. Together, the Bowl and Delta Dental have distributed over 150,000 mouthguards statewide, promoting player safety and confidence.

His exemplary leadership qualities demonstrated last season make him exceptionally well-suited to serve as a role model for young athletes.”
