TransPerfect Music City Bowl Sees 15 Alums Taken in 2021 NFL Draft

NASHVILLE – Fifteen TransPerfect Music City Bowl alums heard their names called during the 2021 NFL Draft in April. 

 Northwestern’s Rashawn Slater became the first alum off the board, selected in the first round with the thirteenth overall pick by the Los Angeles Chargers. Slater was a member of the Northwestern team that topped Kentucky in the 2017 edition of the bowl game. 

 Auburn led the way with four alums drafted, followed by Kentucky (3), Louisville (2), Mississippi State (2), Northwestern (2) and Purdue (1). 

 Below is a full list of alums selected during the 2021 NFL Draft:

Rondale Moore – Round 2, Pick 49 

Tutu Atwell – Round 2, Pick 57 

Anthony Schwartz – Round 3, Pick 91 

Dez Fitzpatrick – Round 4, Pick 109 

Derrick Barnes – Round 4, Pick 113 

Jamien Sherwood – Round 5, Pick 146 

Earnest Brown – Round 5, Pick 174 

K.J. Britt – Round 5, Pick 176 

Quinton Bohanna – Round 6, Pick 192 

Landon Young – Round 6, Pick 206 

Seth Williams – Round 6, 219 

 Phil Hoskins – Round 7, Pick 232
