Titans QB Malik Willis Visits Youth Football Players

Willis is This Year’s TransPerfect Music City Bowl YFP Ambassador

November 4, 2022

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Just two days after his first NFL start and win, Titans quarterback Malik Willis took time out of his week to visit with the Music City Jr. Firebirds youth football team Tuesday night as part of the TransPerfect Music City Bowl’s Youth Football Program.

Willis, this year’s YFP Ambassador, signed autographs, took pictures and shared tips with the Firebirds based on his youth football journey.

“What a great experience it was to have Malik take time out of his busy schedule and visit our teams,” Mid-State Youth Football League president Manuel Young said. “We know our players will benefit from his words of encouragement and this will be a memory they’ll carry with them for a lifetime.”

Throughout the year, local youth leagues like MSYFL receive thousands of dollars in donations to help buy/repair equipment, uniforms, maintain facilities, pay for game officials and implement new league programs. In addition to monetary donations, the leagues also receive an official bowl helmet sticker, a free ticket for each coach and player of the leagues’ championship-winning teams and a mouthguard provided by longtime supporter Delta Dental of Tennessee.

“We are grateful to once again have our YFP ambassador visit local youth football teams in the area,” said Dr. Phil Wenk, CEO of Delta Dental of Tennessee. “Malik’s visit to the Firebirds Tuesday night goes back to the mission of having an ambassador - to be role model on and off the field for our community.”
