 Youth Football Scholarship Opportunities

With your help, the SEC and ACC representatives won't be the only football teams at the Bowl. You can help bring 3,000 youth football players and cheerleaders to the game, where they will be recognized in pre-game, on-the-field festivities as champions of the Bowl's regional Youth Football Program.

This year, the Bowl is sponsoring 20 leagues that encompass 80 communities and 22,000 children across Middle Tennessee, southern Kentucky, and northern Alabama. In addition to contributing financially to the leagues and providing every player and cheerleader with an official Bowl Patch to wear on their jersey/uniform, the Bowl provides free game tickets to each age-division champion of each league.

To make this effort possible, we count on people like you. Your 100% tax-deductible contribution can enable these children to experience the pageantry and excitement of college football - some for the first time - and help create memories to last a lifetime.

Nashville's Holiday Tradition will continue to work hard to positively impact the region's youth and the community for years to come. For more information about the Bowl's Youth Football Program please call the Bowl office at  615.743.3130.

The Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl- more than college football

The Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl is more than a gridiron clash of the ACC and the SEC. It's more than Nashville's Holiday Tradition. It's one of the area's largest outreach programs for kids with dreams that are larger than life and a way to positively impact young people throughout this region -- courtesy of the Bowl's Youth Football Program (YFP).

The Bowl's community outreach program continues its mission to positively impact regional youth football leagues by providing financial support, tangible benefits and unique experiences to its thousands of youth participants. The Bowl's Youth Football Program is our way to reach out to our region's youth, teaching them powers of commitment, team work and determination...and we are turning dreams into reality.

We want your league to succeed

YFP, launched in 2003, has been going strong for the past seven years and continues to make an impact on every community involved. The outreach program has brought the spirit of the sport and the Bowl game to families of more than 20,000 players, cheerleaders and coaches in the 20 member leagues which are located throughout Middle Tennessee, southern Kentucky and northern Alabama

Thousands of dollars are distributed each year by the Bowl to its youth football member leagues. Each league chooses how to use the funds - to buy or repair equipment and uniforms, maintain their facilities, pay for game officials, or implement new league programs.  In addition, beginning with the 2009 season, Delta Dental of Tennessee and the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl distribute thousands of mouth guards to Tennessee youth football leagues. Mouth guards are one of the most effective pieces of protective equipment in sports.  Without protection, your teeth are more than sixty times susceptible to damage!

Be part of the gameday celebration

More than 20,000 players, cheerleaders and coaches will receive an official Bowl Patch to wear on their jerseys and uniforms throughout the 2010 season. Youth participants wearing the Patch - also worn by the collegiate players in the Bowl game - receive special privileges the day of the Bowl which includes our Champions Ceremony.

As a part of the program, players, cheerleaders and coaches on member leagues' age-division championship teams receive FREE tickets to the Bowl game. Just before kickoff, more than 65 championship teams will be recognized for their hard work and accomplishments in the Champions Ceremony on LP Field in front of tens of thousands of football fans. After their recognition, each champion will have a FREE seat in the stands to watch the action of the game's competitive ACC / SEC match-up. In total, more than 5,000 players, cheerleaders, coaches and family members will be in attendance at the game in conjunction with the Bowl's Youth Football Program.

They say winning isn't everything, but for the participants of the Bowl's YFP, victory is sweet. When you motivate young athletes with FREE Bowl tickets, 20 minutes of fame and the experience of a lifetime, the stakes are high and the competition is fierce. Participating in youth football is all about teamwork, sportsmanship, and staying active.
