NASHVILLE -- Three years ago, Tennessee quarterback Josh Dobbs put on one of the best bowl performances in recent memory as he accounted for nearly all of the Vols' total yards in a 38-24 triumph over the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the 2016 Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl.
Dobbs, an aerospace engineer major while at Tennessee, was on another planet during a chilly afternoon in downtown Nashville. He helped the Vols jump out to a 21-7 halftime lead after a monster second quarter that included two touchdown runs.
Despite Nebraska outscoring Tennessee 7-3 in the third quarter, Dobbs literally took the game into his own hands to close out the game with a 14-10 run in the fourth to help Tennessee capture its most recent bowl win.
Dobbs finished the game with 409 of Tennessee's 521 total yards. He passed for one touchdown and ran for three more.
