Please note: Many of the events listed below require invitations.  Invitations to many of these events (the Franklin American Mortgage Coaches Luncheon, the Battle of the Bands and MusicFest VIP Party, and the Pregame Tailgate party) are included in our Premium Ticket Packages.  Please click here to learn more about these packages!

Official Welcome Party
December 27      7pm – 10pm      General Jackson & Hard Rock Café 

The Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl’s welcome event for the student-athletes, coaches, SEC & ACC administrators, Bowl sponsors & partners, along with Nashville dignitaries. This event officially kicks off BOWL Week and all of the activities revolving around the Bowl. The Party will take place onboard the General Jackson Showboat and will feature student-athletes participating in Welcome Party festivities such as the traditional rib eating contest. The General Jackson will dock downtown and a post-event party for official party guests and Bowl sponsors will take place at the Hard Rock Café. There will be live entertainment at the Hard Rock Café. The Welcome Party begins at 7pm. Invitations are required.


Players Party

December 28      7pm - 9pm      Nashville Predators (NHL) game vs. Minnesota Wild 

This is a student-athlete only event where the players will attend a Nashville Predators home game at Bridgestone Arena. Players will get a chance to experience Smashville first-hand. Players will have a chance to eat, drink and have fun a few days before the game on December 30.



Wives & Daughters Tour

December 28      10am - 3:30pm      Bluebird Café

A fun-filled day for the wives & daughters of coaches, administrators, and Bowl VIP’s. The special guests are given a taste of what Music City has to offer as they are given a VIP tour for a day at some of Nashville’s best attractions, including an event at the world-famous Bluebird Café for lunch and live entertainment. Invitations are required.



SunTrust VIP Dinner

December 28      6pm – 9pm      Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum
A special event hosted by SunTrust and the Bowl’s Board of Directors, this event is exclusively for university administrators, coaches, and other VIP’s in town for BOWL Week. Featuring live entertainment in the Hall of Fame’s Rotunda, VIP’s will be treated with true southern hospitality. The event will take place at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum. Invitations are required. SunTrust serves as the title sponsor.
 

**Franklin American Mortgage Coaches Luncheon presented by WKRN News 2
December 29      11:30am – 1pm      Wildhorse Saloon

The official chalk talk is an event for the student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and fans in town for BOWL Week. Fans have a chance to interact with SEC & ACC players and coaches including an opportunity to have a Q & A session with both head coaches from the participating schools. An ESPN personality will be a part of the program. The Luncheon begins at 11:30am and is held at the Wildhorse Saloon on historic 2
nd Avenue in the heart of THE DISTRICT, downtown Nashville. Patch holders receive $5 off of admission. Franklin American Mortgage Company serves as the title sponsor, WKRN News 2 serves as presenting sponsor. The Franklin American Mortgage Tradition of Service Award will be presented to a deserving high school football student-athlete from the area.

**MusicFest & Battle of the Bands
December 29      5pm – 7pm      Downtown Nashville, 1st Avenue & Broadway

Nashville’s calling card is music. From rock to bluegrass, jazz to country, Music City is home to some of the best musicians and entertainment in the world. MusicFest is the ultimate party atmosphere downtown the night before the game. Thousands of fans will converge on world-famous 2nd Avenue (corner of 2nd & Broadway) for the outdoor party featuring SEC & ACC bands and cheerleaders. A FREE concert will take place prior to the Battle of the Bands beginning at 5pm featuring RCA Nashville recording artist Love and Theft.  Multiple venues will open their doors to Bowl fans for a memorable downtown event where various genres of live music will play. Show your Bowl Patch (Patches available via MusicCityBowl.com) and receive special Fan discounts at participating Patch Partner locations. Admission is Free! The event is from 5 – 7pm. Open to the general public. The Jack Daniels Experience will be available for fans from 4 – 8pm. There is a private MusicFest & Battle of the Bands VIP Party for Bowl sponsors and Premium Ticket Package purchasers located rooftop at MJM Architects and includes food & beverages. The VIP Party begins at 4:30 – 7pm and invitations are required.

 

**Downtown Gameday Activities
December 30      Downtown, Lower Broadway

SEC and ACC fans will have an opportunity to experience fan activities prior to kickoff. Downtown on Lower Broadway at the Court of Flags (1st Ave. & Broadway), the participating SEC Team Pep Rally will begin at 1:45pm followed by the ACC Team Pep Rally at 2:30pm. A free pre-game concert will begin at 3pm featuring the Small Time Rock Stars.  Downtown Nashville is a great built-in tailgate atmosphere and block party with restaurants and entertainment venues within walking distance. The Jack Daniels Experience will be available for fans from Noon – 5pm.

Pre-game Tailgate Party

December 30      2:30pm – Kickoff      (PRIVATE TENT, southwest endzone)

Unfortunately, due to the river levels being too high for the General Jackson to safely travel downtown, clear the Shelby Street Bridge, and dock at LP Field we have a change of plans for Friday’s Pre-game Tailgate Party. The Pre-game Tailgate Party will be located in a tent in the southwest endzone area near Lot R & K parking lots.  The location of the tent will be the tent that is closest to the river.  *The tent will be enclosed with the exception of the entrance point and will have the exact same food & beverage and will feature live entertainment by the Third Friday Band.  The doors open at 2:30pm (bar service available) followed by food service at 3pm.  The tailgate party ends at kickoff.  INVITATIONS ARE REQUIRED.  Gameday and Spirited Attire. 



Family Zone Area at LP Field

December 30      2:30pm – Kickoff      LP Field

Open to the general public, fans from the SEC and ACC will have an opportunity to play within steps from LP Field in the South End Zone Area Lot R (admission is Free). Interactive games will be provided for the entire family. It’s a great start for gameday and a great way to be a part of all of the pageantry of the Bowl. Festivities begin at 2:30pm. Open to the general public. 



**Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl

December 30      5:40pm      LP Field

One of the hottest post-season Bowl games in America as the ACC and the SEC Conferences square off in Music City at LP Field on Friday, December 30 at 5:40pm CST. Football Takes Center Stage. Broadcast live on ESPN and through the Nevada Sports Radio national network, the Bowl is Nashville’s Holiday Tradition. The ACC and SEC feature some of the largest, most loyal, and rabid college football fans in the country. 
Sgt. Corrin Campbell will sing the National Anthem at this year's event, while Black River Entertainment recording artist Sarah Sarah Darling will perform God Bless America.  Both school's marching bands will provide the halftime entertainment.

Music City New Year's Eve Bash on Broadway
December 31      7:30pm - midnight

Open to the general public, ring in the New Year and rock out the old with thousands of your closest friends at Nashville’s New Year’s Eve party on downtown’s lower Broad. Bring your party hats. Make some noise and count down to the fireworks at midnight. The Jack Daniels Experience will be available for fans beginning at 4pm Live music on the Main Stage begins at 7:30pm and the Fireworks & "Drop" at the stroke of Midnight.  The concert is free.  For info. on New Year's Eve, visitmusiccity.com/newyearseve
