Vandy Wins First Bowl Game in Over 50 Years Vandy 16, Boston College 14

Boston College represented the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in the eleventh annual Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl and faced off against the Southeastern Conference’s (SEC) Vanderbilt University.

Kick-off was Wed., Dec. 31, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. CST at LP Field in Nashville. The game was televised live on ESPN.

Vanderbilt (6-6) made its first bowl appearance in 26 years and just its fourth overall. Meanwhile, Boston College (9-4) was looking to win its ninth consecutive bowl game.

Vandy walked away with the 16-14 win...their first Bowl win in over 50 years!
