BOWDEN & BROOKS MEET FOR ANNUAL BOWL COACHES LUNCHEON
December 29th – University of Kentucky head football coach Rich Brooks and Florida State University head coach Bobby Bowden met today for the annual Bowl Coaches Luncheon presented by News 2.
A sold out crowd of over 1,000 attendees enjoyed lunch at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. All student-athletes from both Kentucky and Florida State were in attendance. Ron Franklin from ESPN served as the emcee for the event.
The coaches discussed the 10th Annual Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl and their experience in Nashville. They also talked about their respective 2007 seasons and the excitement that the teams feel from having the opportunity to participate in a bowl game.
WKRN News 2 was the presenting sponsor of the luncheon. The ABC affiliate hosted a contest leading up to the event where two lucky fans would get to sit with legendary Florida State coach Bobby Bowden. The winners of the contest were Elizabeth & Will Rogers of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The coaches luncheon was the final public event that the student-athletes will participate in before competing in the 10th Annual Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl on December 31st. The school’s band and cheerleaders will get into the act on Sunday night.
The annual Battle of the Bands/MusicFest will take place on Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. on historic 2
nd Ave. in downtown Nashville. The event is free and open to the public. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy their favorite school’s marching band and then enjoy the Music City nightlife following the event. There will be many entertainment options along 2

The 10th Annual Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl will kick off at 3:00 p.m. on December 31st at LP Field.
