DAY 2: FROM THE RYMAN TO OPRY MILLS – BOWL PARTICIPANTS HAVE FUN FILLED DAY
December 28th – The second day of Bowl Week in Nashville was filled with a couple of private events for the representatives of Florida State and Kentucky to participate in during the 2007 Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl.
The day began with the Wives & Daughter’s Tour, which is a private event for the coaches wives and daughters. The ladies enjoyed a tour of Nashville, sightseeing at the world famous Ryman Auditorium along with the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum. The trip included a stop at the popular Green Hills Mall before ending at the historic Bluebird Café. While at the Bluebird, the ladies enjoyed a performance from songwriters Don Schlitz, Roxie Dean and Marc Deeson. You may view photos from the Wives & Daughter’s Tour by clicking

The evening concluded with an event for the Bowl student-athletes, the annual Team Construction Player Party held at Dave & Buster’s at Opry Mills. The student-athletes had an opportunity to enjoy interaction between the teams while eating a buffet-style dinner and watching other ongoing Bowl games around the country. The teams enjoyed billiards, bowling, and arcade video games in the Midway. The evening was capped off with the annual NASCAR Team Challenge on the Daytona 500 video machines. Sixteen players from each team competed in a single elimination style tournament to determine the winner. When the dust settled Braxton Kelly from the University of Kentucky won the competition. Kentucky’s T.C. Drake came in second while Florida State’s Antwann Gramlee finished third. Photos from tonight’s event can be viewed by clicking
