Auburn Tigers Will Play Wisconsin Badgers In The Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl Presented By Bridgestone
Nashville, TN., December 7, 2003? Representatives of the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl Presented By Bridgestone, today announced that the Auburn Tigers (7-5) would represent the Southeastern Conference and play the Wisconsin Badgers (7-5), from the BIG TEN in the 2003 game. The game will be played on December 31 at 11:00 a.m. at the Coliseum and will be broadcast on ESPN. Auburn is the 6th different SEC Team to play in Music City in its 6 year history.
\"We are pleased and honored to announce the Auburn Tigers as our SEC representative,\" said Joe Kelley, chairman of the Bowl. Added Kelley, \"An Auburn and Wisconsin match-up, two traditional powerhouses, is exciting and should be a great game on the field,\" added Kelley.
Auburn concluded their season with a win over arch rival Alabama and features one of the premier running backs in college football in Carnell ?Cadillac? Williams (5?11?, 204, Jr.) who rushed for 1,318 yards in 223 attempts while scoring 15 touchdowns.
