The Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl is a college bowl game featuring two of the best football conferences in America, the SEC and the ACC.

Played in LP Field (downtown Nashville) and broadcast live to millions of viewers on ESPN, the Bowl is Nashville's Holiday Tradition.

Internship Programs Job Descriptions

Salary: Unpaid
Term of Internship: TBD - Flexible
Work Days & Times: TBD
Skills: Strong communication (verbal/written) and organizational skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003 and XP, ability and willingness to adapt to project changes.

Events and Programs Intern - This internship is geared towards the individual with an interest in event management. It is the purpose of the events and programs division to successfully market and implement all Sports Council events to ensure top quality event management. This position reports directly to the Events Managers and ultimately, to the Sr. Vice President & COO.

• Assist and execute projects and/or assignments as assigned by the Sports Council staff. 
• Assist with the overall strategy of all Sports Council events.
• Assist with the Sports Council volunteer program. 
• Assist in implementation of event day execution and management. 
• Assist with updating databases for participants and attendees of Sports Council events. 
• Assist with general administrative duties.

Marketing / Development  / Communications Intern - This internship is specifically geared towards the individual with an interest in marketing, development and communications. The Nashville Sports Council has an active membership of hundreds of individual members and 200 corporate member investors. It is the purpose of the marketing and development division to create and implement programs to retain and increase membership as well as secure event sponsors. The position reports directly to Vice President, Marketing, Development, Communications and ultimately the Sr. Vice President & COO.

• Assist in the creation of Sports Council communication pieces.
• Assist with internet websites (NashvilleSports.com, MusicCityBowl.com)
• Assist with the Sports Council and Music City Bowl's social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
• Assist with the development marketing plans for the Nashville Sports Council and Music City Bowl.
• Assist with the Comcast Sports Speaker Series/member activities (i.e., Predators Face Off Luncheon, Titans Annual Kick Off Luncheon).
• Work on prospect lists for new corporate members / event sponsors.
• Assist with corporate and individual membership marketing campaigns as well as fulfillment.
• Assist with updating databases for membership and sponsorship.
• Assist with sponsorship and VIK procurement.
• Assist with general administrative duties.

Music City Bowl Intern - This internship is specifically geared towards the individual with an interest in event management and sales. This position reports directly to the Events Manager(s).

• Assist with the Bowl volunteer program.
• Assist with website maintenance for the Bowl's Youth Football League program.
• Attend and staff Bowl exhibit booth at outside events.
• Assist in implementation of game day execution and management.
• Assist with general administrative duties.
