"Tradition of Service Award"
Presented by Franklin American Mortgage Company and the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl
Purpose
The Tradition of Service Award rewards outstanding community service contribution by a football student-athlete from a Middle Tennessee high school in honor of Franklin American Mortgage Company's commitment to "relationships built on service" and the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl, Nashville's Holiday Tradition. The winner of the Tradition of Service Award will receive a $1,000 college scholarship.
Criteria
- Junior or senior student-athlete currently enrolled in a designated Middle Tennessee high school
- Member of their school's varsity football program
- Evidence of outstanding community service contribution

In addition to their award presentation at the Franklin American Mortgage Company Coaches Luncheon in Decmber, the winning student-athlete will also receive a $1,000 college scholarship.The Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl further supports various initiatives such as Youth Football, the First Tee Program and in 2010 providing much needed flood recovery relief throughits Franklin American Mortgage Charity Cup. Nearly $250,000 was provided in 2010 through the Bowl's contributions which includes a $100,000 grant from NCAA Football for specific flood support.
In addition, the Bowl annually recognizes youth football players and cheerleaders (ages 5-14) through a unique Champions Ceremony. The Champions Ceremony will involve over 80 teams from Middle Tennessee, southern Kentucky and northern Alabama. Over 3,000 kids will walk out of the Tennessee Titans tunnel and onto LP Field for an incredible moment prior to kickoff.
