The Annual Franklin American Mortgage Charity Cup was established to serve as a fundraiser for the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl designated charities. The 2nd annual event was held September 21-22, at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center and the exclusive Golf Club of Tennessee.

The unique two day event featured administrators, influential donors and celebrity alumns from Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and Southeastern Conference (SEC) member institutions, headlined by PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Brandt Snedeker and 1975 U.S. Open champion Lou Graham. Participants enjoyed a high-end opening night reception featuring a Q&A session with former Ryder Cup Captain & Player and PGA Champion Lanny Wadkins. The following day participants enjoyed a Ryder Cup style golf tournament at The Golf Club of Tennessee. Team ACC prevailed over Team SEC, 51.5 - 28.5.
