Kentucky defeated Clemson, 28-20, to capture the ninth annual Bowl in front of a record sellout crowd of 68,024. Kentucky’s win was its first bowl victory in 22 years. Bowl MVP Andre’ Woodson threw for 299 yards, just missing his third 300-yard game of the season and the fourth of his career. Future Tampa Bay Buccaneers first round draft pick Gaines Adams’ second sack of the game tied him with Michael Dean Perry for the Clemson all-time sacks leader.
